Remarks

Mine map [1] shows: 1 shaft; 1 slope; entries 10' wide; pillars 30'-60' wide. Unable to pinpoint the

shaft location. The approximate location of the site is about 500' S of Rt. 39 in the vicinity of

foundation remains. Several small gob piles are in the vicinity. About 150' S of site across Riley

Run Creek are three drift openings, one of which is slumped in. About 50' E of the slumped in drift

is a second drift opening which is not sealed and is about 30' x 10-12'. About 50' further E is a

third drift opening which is not sealed and is about 25' x 10-12'. Further E are slumped in drift and

slope openings.
